The Pawleys Island Flute Choir began five years ago when a group of amateur flutists decided it would be fun to play together. They now have seven members from all walks of life: Lisa Couture, Melanie Green, Gene Hammond, Gail Holsclaw, Elizabeth Krauss, Paula Richardson and Patsy Stortz. The Flute Choir use four members of the flute family:  the piccolo, the C flute, the alto flute, and the bass flute. Since its inception, PIFC has played at Brookgreen Gardens for 'Nights of A Thousand Candles', The Kaminski House, for their Christmas Open House and numerous church services in the community.
